Own responsibility for Maximus’s brand strategy to ensure that the right message reaches and resonates with the right audience.
Shape Maximus’s brand narrative and voice so that it is both true to the company’s mission as well as clearly articulates our value proposition and differentiation to the market.
Conduct qualitative and quantitative market research to understand market segments and the optimal positioning and channels to reach them.
Drive selection of and manage relationships with outsourced branding, marketing, and PR agencies where appropriate.
Own responsibility for Maximus’s growth and customer acquisition strategy to ensure the company achieves its retention and revenue objectives.
Develop and refine Maximus’s customer acquisition and retention strategy across all channels to drive profitable growth for the company.
Create and manage Maximus’s marketing budget.
Coordinate internal and outsourced efforts to implement Maximus’s growth and customer acquisition strategies, including content creation, search and social ad buys, working with influencers, and building email marketing campaigns.
Analyze marketing and growth data to identify opportunities to improve Maximus’s lifetime value to acquisition cost ratio and conduct experiments where appropriate to validate hypotheses.
Collaborate with broader Maximus team to align marketing and brand strategy with other vital company functions.
Work with other functions (i.e. product, support, community, operations, etc.) to ensure all facets of the customer experience have a unified and consistent voice.
Collaborate with product and community teams on major launches and initiatives that could benefit from marketing support.
Share market research findings that can help inform product development and community / support / operations in overdelivering to customers.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Experience: Industry: 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles at health technology or consumer products companies.
Brand Building: Prior success launching a new brand or significantly growing an existing one, preferably at an early-stage company.
Digital Marketing: Proven ability to successfully execute digital advertising campaigns with honed intuition and insight into how to generate superior results using digital channels.
Analytics: Strong analytical skills and fluency with marketing KPIs and rigorously measuring spend and ROI.
